Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. Been busy, but I have a lot planned for the blog over the next week or so, so stay tuned (the next part(s) of the S&S Project coming this weekend!).
I ran across a great article about bullet penetration within a house. The author was specifically testing .223, however, he also ran "control" groups using .45, 9mm, .380, 7.62 x 39 (AK round), and 00 buck. I encourage you to check out his article, and feel free to discuss here.
Obviously, your conclusions about what to use in your house depend a lot on how you view shooting within your house. Ie. if you think that shooting in your house is a worst case scenario, you may not be as concerned about overpenetration as you are about stopping power. Also, if you don't have kids or others in the house, that will also impact your decision. Whatever you decide, though, post below and let's hear your reasoning!
Have a great week. I'll be posting again soon!
