Great Ammo for Less

Ah, the eternal quest for the cheapest ammo. For those of you like me (not sponsored by any gun or ammo manufacturer), you're always on the lookout for a good deal on ammo to support your addiction, er, hobby. Well, apart from sales at walmart, one place I've found that offers consistently low prices on all types of ammo is Georgia Arms. I first found out about them at a local gun show. They're located in Georgia (duh), but they travel all over to gun shows. You can visit their site at www.georgia-arms.com to see their schedule of gun shows they will be attending as well as prices on their ammo.

Their best offering (as far as price) is their "canned heat." This is reloaded ammo offered in 500 and 1000 round military green boxes. Although they'll ship it to you via the website, it's much cheaper to buy it at a show so that you don't have to pay for [expensive] ammo shipping.

They have a great selection, and I can say that I've never had a problem with any of their ammo that I couldn't attribute to the gun I was using. I've tried out their .40 S&W, 9mm, .223, and .38 special. All of it worked flawlessly at a good price. This is great stuff for plinking and target practice.

They also sell "new" ammo (brand new brass), but it's not as good a deal. I have some of their self-defense ammo for my CCW guns, and it's actually very well priced for self-defense ammo.

Hope this will help you keeping shooting for less money. That's my goal.
