Lula

For my first review, I want to discuss an absolutely *necessary* accessory if you have an AR-15. For anyone who has loaded AR-15 magazines, you know that your thumbs can get worn out very quickly! Thirty rounds with stiff springs spells disaster for a healthy thumb. Enter the "Lula." This is the best invention EVER for high capacity carbine mags.

The Lula is a lightweight polymer piece that attaches to the top of the magazine the same way the magazine locks into your gun. Once attached, it has a paddle that rocks back and forth to push down the follower, allowing you to easily drop a bullet in. Then the paddle is rocked the other way, pushing down on the newly loaded bullet, and allowing another bullet to be dropped in easily. This continues until the magazine is completely loaded. The beauty of the Lula is that it also helps to unload the gun by simply tilting the magazine down (allowing gravity to empty the magazine) and rocking the paddle back and forth. Nothing could be easier.

This is a supremely portable accessory, and is made of high quality materials (it's a standard issue to Israeli troops). It's not cheap at $25, but well worth the money! You can get it from most major online retailers (Cabelas, Midwayusa.com, etc.). Check out the following video to see an example of how this product works:
